About Glenn Evans

I am an American currently working in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

I was born on a cattle ranch in Nebraska.

College years were spent at Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska followed by engineering education at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, South Dakota.

I joined the Marine Corps in 1966 and went to Danang, Vietnam right after TET in 1968.

I have been steadily working in the Oil & Gas business, first with AMCDE and since 2015 with KEKSA. KEKSA manufactures hangers, constant effort supports, rigid struts and ancillaries. They have me do most of the writing which includes letters, copy and a recently initiated bi-weekly newsletter.

In Saudi life revolves around our work so most of us spend 60 hours or more at work each week but since the social activities here are small it is a good thing and gives us something to do.

I enjoy being outside for walking and biking in the cooler times of the year. In the hot summer we need to do our exercising in doors.

Book stores having all kinds of literature are readily available for those of the literary bent.

I have been married since 1987 and my wife and I have a son and two young granddaughters.
